On September 26, 2018, laboratory member Zheng Junzheng, the president of Peking University Robotics Association, participated in the "Scientific Spirit in China" theme forum. This large-scale public welfare event was hosted by Science and Technology Daily and The-Intellectual. The main purpose of the activity is to promote the scientific spirit, disseminate scientific ideas, help the public to improve their scientific literacy, and create a good atmosphere for innovation.
Peking University is the first stop of this event. The Robotics Association has outstanding performance in research and was invited to participate in the forum. The Peking University Robotics Association was established in March 2004 at the System and Control Research Center of Peking University. It is now managed by Peking University's Intelligent Biomimetic Design Lab. The association worked under the guidance of Professor Xie Guangming, the director of the laboratory. The main purpose of the association is to popularize robot knowledge, pay close attention to the development of robots at home and abroad, and try to solve the problems encountered in the development of robots.
